Thanks! Yea I agree especially since the mounting points are already there, and the power mirror connector has 2 empty pins they could use for mirror signals. The mirror covers that I got in the (eBay) kit did NOT fit. However, I didn't buy OEM ones. I used the ones I got with the kit and cut off every single clip and tab and just glued it on the mirror using industrial strength adhesive that I had to let dry for a few hours. I used zip ties to hold it together while it cured. The paint match was spot on though so I just decided to work with what I got. After the glue dried, I cleaned the excess and you'd never even tell it's the wrong one that was glued on. Good enough for me!
