C160 Helical LSD in a C50 transmission?

I have a 2007 Yaris with the C50 transmission, and I have found someone that is selling a C160 trans from an AE111 Corolla that might have the factory helical LSD.

As far as I can tell the C50 and C160 diffs should be interchangeable, am I correct?

Are there any other issues I might run into if I try to install the C160 diff in my C50 trans?

Just looking for some clarification before I buy anything, thanks in advance.

I think BluevitzRS is the resident expert on the C160 -> C50 transplant, but I'll take a whack at it. It's definitely an 8-bolt differential, which is a good start, but without having one in hand to compare measurements, I can't confirm any further.

For the TRD LSD, the AE111 and the NCP91 use the same LSD (41301-AW004), so I would think it would work.

As long as the the diff in the C50 is 8 bolt, it should fit. You just need to swap the gear bolted to it and the speed drive gear if it's any different.

What is the easiest way to gain limited slip Transmission in your 2008
Yaris?
I define easiest by taking out the current stock transmission, and installing a transmission that has LSD in it. What is there a transmission offered in the United States C 50 that had LSD already installed in it?
If so, what model cars were they in and what part number would you look for to identify it?

i installed a quaife qdf15e lsd in my c50, it is actually fairly straight forward to do once you understand how it all comes apart, as far as im aware, there are no factory c50, c52, c56 yaris transmissions that come with an lsd already from factory, always has been an add on

There are C52s and C56s that are factory LSD in other models and markets.
