Fog Light Heat
I've driven a few days for long durations (7 hr+) with my fog lights on and notice that they get pretty hot. I have a sheet of laminX film over each fog and there is a burn mark on each side on the center.
Has anybody else notice this? If I went 35 watt hid would it lower the heat? I like having the film over the fog(protection and style) but having them with brown burn marks is not cool.

Atleast the issue is know. I have the film on my bmw fogs and no issues. I've had them there for a solid 2 years. I understand the concept of light and heat but didn't think it got THAT hot. Do you guys know the peak temperature of a 55W halogen vs 35 hid?
