Is it normal for fuel economy to drop during cold weather
I had my Yaris for 3 months now to use for 5-6 hours of business commuting. I usually avg 37-38 mpg through flat land and small mountain conditions. The last 2 weeks I've been averaging 33-34 mpg on the same commute with similar driving habits. How could I improve my mpg back to 37-38 mpg? I head stories about the 40 mpg + which is definitely realistic in the certain conditions, driving 65mph or less but its unrealistic on my drive.

Not only does it drop in cold weather, if you only drive a mile or two to the store and back youll get 29 mpg. Even in summer.

I think this is working good. I haven't any hard mpg numbers yet.

Just noticed my Vibe getting about 300km's to a tank vs the usual 400km avg. Winter gas blows and thencpkd weather starts doesn't help
