need to change the rear shocks
i have a 2008 yaris 3 door hatchback automatic need to change the rear shocks. i am going to ask a mechanic who is my next door neighbor to change my shocks. i want to buy the shocks myself.
i have research online, there are 1. oem kyb w0133-10808712 from partsgeek 2. kyb 343442 from partsgeek 3. gabriel strut jcw-gabg51783 from jcwhitney ( half price of oem ) the gabriel does call their part shock, they call their part strut, and i check gabriel website, it fit my car. but i do not know if the replacement work will be a lot more than the part call shock. usually the shocks has only 2 nuts and bolts holding the top and the bottom. very easy to change it if they are mechanically inclined. i do not know if this is true to my case. anyone has knowledge and input? |

Yes top and bottom bolt/nuts only. Access to top nut is through two small access panel covers in the hatch. Dead simple job to replace rear shocks on the LB. Sedan owners wish they had it this simple.

The Yaris has shocks in the rear, not struts.
I sell the KYB shocks and also can sell Tokico rears. Support our community by letting us earn your business.
