What type of riding are you interested in? Touring? Track racing? Commuting? daily rider or weekend toy? How much money do you want to spend?

Actually, while that is a good starter bike; most people outgrow it quickly. Therefore, I would recommend the Ninja 500 or any standard 600cc motorcycle (no fairings, they only break when you crash! )

Honestly, if you want to be a good street rider then buy a dirt bike as you first motorcycle. Learn how to ride offroad first, then learn how to ride on the road. You will learn how to better handle the machine offroad and if you fall there are less consequences. Almost all racers train on offroad bikes.

Lastly, get the correct gear (helmet, leathers, boots and gloves) and take a safety course. Your life will depend on both!

Cheers! M2
