The Van Coupe
So last night my buddy needed help moving... So he called me up and asked if I could get my dad's truck... My dad had gone out... So I told him that I can come with my Yaris and help out... He laughed and said OK...
After putting down my back seats and loading up the back of my car, he realized just how much room I had and was "Beyond Impressed" -His words! Then, without thinking, he called my baby a VAN... I cursed his silly ass out! Then he tried explaining himself by saying my car was like a Van Coupe... And that I kind of like... Thoughts? Did Toyota build a Van Coupe? |

i always thought of liftbacks/hatchbacks as being very practical, never as a van or a "van coupe". just because a car is able to have tons of luggage space doesn't make it a van. i mean, you wouldn't call an SUV a van, right?
but that was a funny story... |

I love my van coupe! Soon Paris Hilton will be wearing "Van Coupe" hats and clothes and whatnot!

this is apparantly why you cant park a standard cab s10 on some city streets, but the ginormous escalade/navigator etc etc is just fine :) |

You know what the best is? In downtown Kent there is "compact only" parking within spitting distance of the bars. Then factor in the fact that I can fit a half stack, a shitload of pedals and an axe or two in the back... does it get any better than this?
For the money, I really think this is the best value in cars right now. Period. |

If compacts were given more special privileges like this then maybe there would not be the problems that we are facing today, Such as: global warming, Parking problems in metro areas, War over oil?...Etc. Etc.... If you really think about what you want, and what you really need, Then how many people on the road these days that are commuting to work, by themselves, In a vehicle that is getting 10 miles per gallon and has ample room for 8 people? W.T.F?

I had a 00 Blazer 4 door, dropped like 6 inches and a cop pulled me over one day saying there was a red van that was just involved in a hit and run, can I check you vehicle over for damage, I said sure, you know this is a Chevy Blazer and not a van , right? she gave me "the look" and said I was free to go.
ALSO... I don't know how many people have told me my car look like a mini-mini van... I think it is bull shit.... but then again most people ask me "what kinda car is that?"
