updates
so, i got the car in summer mode with my RPF1's back on it, then i hit a massive pothole and bent a wheel. had to go back to OEM 14's for a week, then back to summer mode!
fwiw, i used the "Rim Doctor" in Kitchener, ON. I've used them before and they've been very good to me. summer mode round 1 photoshop bent wheel cause OEM summer mode RPF1 summer mode! (fixed wheel on front DS in this pic - - just some paint on the lip needs to be touched up (eventually))

Wow this road is bad. Got the wheels bent even tho you had a 195/50.
Luckily roads in my area aren't that bad i'm on 205/45 tires in the summer. |

Man, that bend makes me cringe. I'm running 17" RPF1's on 205/40's. Some of the cracks, ruts and potholes in these Cali freeways can be a mother. I heard about a news article that claimed Californians spend upwards of several thousand dollars more a year on vehicle repairs due to the bad roads. In response, they just passed a 12 cent tax hike, which is supposedly to collect the funds needed to fix them. Total horse shit.

definitely one of the nicest color schemes I've seen on an Echo, the black with the gold looks sleek

huh. that sucks. here in CO you can summit a claim with DOT and sometimes the will cover the repairs. i know a few people that have gotten wheels replaced/reimbursed. you should look into it in your area.
