Had an accident now passenger seatbelt and driver's airbag light won't go off
Hi all, earlier today I was in a fender bender, hit from behind kinda hard. When I first started my car after the accident I noticed the driver's airbag and passenger seatbelt lights didn't go off after the initial startup. Then after all the insurance exchange, etc when I went to start my car it stalled for about a minute, then start and both lights were still on. Can anyone offer why these lights are staying on? I won't be able to get the car checked out til Friday and I just want to know my airbag isn't going to deploy out of nowhere while I'm driving. Thanks a bunch!!!

Usually an airbag warning light means that they are not functioning properly, or there is no signal coming to the computer from them.
Maybe, with the accident a sensor got damaged, or even a fuse blowed up. Check your fuse box. But I don't think there is any chance of the airbag to deploy. The warning light comes up when they are deactivated for some reason. So, most likely your airbags have no signal or electricity and they don't return the signal to the computer Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Is it a serious one? Is everyone ok? Just go to the Toyota service center, I am sure they can help you there. But before that, don't forget to call the insurance company and your lawyer if you have one. Otherwise, you can have some problems. In case you don't have it, I recommend you to get one. I remember when I got into an accident, a lawyer from accidenteayuda.com, helped me a lot. I really hope my message will be useful for you, and you will solve your problem. By the way, just be more careful next time. Take care.

And what have you already tried? Maybe it's easier than you think?

It seems to me that this happens when the signal from the airbag does not go to the main "brain" of your machine. Maybe it's a residual thing from the jolt during your accident. Have you tried obliterating the battery and putting it back in before contacting someone for repair? I've had it work a couple of times. I got into an accident, searched for a long time on the way home lawyer for the car accident, and the pillow still did not want to stop burning, and I thought that I would get into an accident again because of its sudden disclosure. Haha. In the end, I was advised to disconnect the power completely and restart the car. It worked just as he'd expected. Try it

If the belt's pyrotechnic cartridge went off during the accident then the belts have to be changed in order to get the warning light off.

Heya, sorry to hear that you were involved in a car accident. Okay, so first of all, this means that your airbag is deactivated and will not deploy should it need to. Give it a day cause it might be just a matter of resetting the light. But if the light doesn't go away, then your sensors might be faulty, or your airbag backup battery might be depleted. In this case, you'll have to go to a car service so that they can fix it for you. Anyway, I hope you sort this out asap. P.S. If you need a car accident lawyer, I highly suggest the services provided by this Long Tail: houston truck accident lawyer .

This is a terrible and awful story, I have never liked capital punishment and have always been against it. What happened to him?

I am very sorry that you got into such situation, I hope you are all right now and you feel good. Don't worry about the car, it can always be repaired, unlike health. I think you should go to a lawyer in Houston to get compensation for damage to your health and car from the dude who crashed into you. Now you don't have to worry because the airbags don't work for no reason, you should wait and contact the car service at the first opportunity so that your car is diagnosed and the breakdowns are eliminated and the electronics are repaired. I hope you will find quality specialists who will repair your car at the highest level. Good luck buddy and take care of yourself!
