Extended
Hi guys. I'm new here and have really been impressed with the site. I am looking to buy my girlfriend a new Yaris (5LB) and wanted to know where you guys are buying your extended warranty and how much you are paying.
My last 3 new cars were all Fords and I always bought the extended warranty out of state because it's always been 2-3 times more expensive buying it from at my local FL dealers. Thanks. |

It was in $1300's for 7 years/100,000 miles extended warranty.
I didn't get it since none of the Japanese built cars I owned needed repair. |

I usually work on my cars myself and would only need the parts if out of warranty. However, it always more than pays for itself if you buy the extended warranty at the time of purchase (cheaper the newer the car). I plan on keeping the car way past the 36K mile warranty so I would like the piece of mind. |

Also, that seems high. That's the price one would pay after they have owned the car for three years and THEN decided to buy the extended warranty. |
