A real poll

Too many people here think it's either the Rockefeller family bagman or the Bush family bag man. There are alternatives.

I wished Dennis Kucinich would have got the Democratic ticket. We would have the hottest first lady in history.

I thought his ears would have made a great source for political cartoons, but yeah his wife was totally hot!

Picking a Third Party Candidate is an investment in new directions in the future. It's the only way to really grab the attention of politicians.

The strong showings of the Socialist Party in the 1920s and 1930s that helped to shape both Hoover's and Roosevelt's policies. No Socialist Party candidate ever won the White House yet Hoover proposed "Old Age Pensions" and began the New Deal as best he could - Democrat Propaganda to the contrary. Roosevelt's meddling is a matter of history and a point of pride to many Democrats.

As I see it there are more options today than either chump change or four more years of Empire.

Gene

you know... I'd love to see a shared election like the British systems works where all parties get a body in the parliament based on what % of the vote they received.

hoover was a great business man... but not president... he blamed the common citizen for having a hard time during the depression.

Agreed about having a strong third party.... Clinton never would have been elected in 92 if it wasn't for the strong third party presence.... forced bush & clinton to actually talk policy instead of drama.

We're not "jokes". We're a possible future. A lot better future than making war on the rest of the human race, waging "class struggle" at home or pushing cronie capitalism onto ourselves.

I took down the Avatar. The election is over. As far as our two friends above, if they're Dems their boy is gonna probably screw it up. If they're Reps they're boy screwed it up.

I'm sorry, my fault, I forgot to insert the "" around "we are nothing but a joke." I do not take my vote as a joke and I do not think I am a joke,

I'm looking forward to the future and hopefully real change, not a growing government and empty promises

prove me wrong Obama, I really hope that you can fix everything as you have promised.... "yes we can"

in canada we have 5 viable national parties, having said that, it really is still a two-horse race.

no, I want to agree with Gene and all the other "minority" parties...but they're never going to become a third majority party unless someone does for them what Tom Cruise did to Scientology and that is hype the crap out of them and pump them soo bloated with money (like the two big parties) that they could at least have a run-off for the elected....

BTW....
I'm sorry about my comment in the other thread gene I didn't mean for it to "sound" so brazen and asinine .....
