tanabe really close to bumper.. will it melt?

I just threw on a Concept G axle back a few min ago and drove the yaris around to check it out .. I noticed that the bumper was like 1/8th inch from the muffler.. will this sucker melt my bumper? Anyone else have this problem? do they make longer rubber grommet hanger things that will lower it a little? or do i have to cut my bumper to make it so i wont be melting anything?

Thanks!

I can snap a picture if need be :)

ur fine as long as its not touching.. ur bumper may get darker in time due to the exhaust tip being there..

Heat and carbon discoloration might happen. Won't melt the bumper.

My exhaust tip is much closer than that, and I haven't had a single problem (*knocks on wood*).

i have had the concept exhaust for well over a year and can assure you, nothing negative will happen to the car.. just enjoy ur wonderful look and sound.. i still grin everytime i start the car or open up the throttle.. i prefer the sound of it on my auto car than on Tonys manual with cai...to me, mine sounds deeper and less droney than his..

I don't think you'll have problems, but this would look pretty nice anyways(too bad its not for the yaris - nothing a sawzall and a little fiberglass can't fix though :D )

My tanabe medallion is touching my kamanari rear lip and it melted a little bit I bought the car like that though so not much I could have done about it. plus it's at a location where you don't even see it anyway.

you can also make your own heat shield with cf to make it disapate the heat plus it will look nice or put that thermo heat wrapping in between but that might look ghetto if not done right
