Something wierd is happening to my brakes. On rainy days, the brakes slip and it's really hard to stop the car......

I was wondering if I should change to stainless steal brake lines or just replace the brake pads?

did you check the pads for normal wear?

Looks fine to me. i might have to replace one of them though so if anything i'll be replacing the front two pads. I'm thinking of switching to rear disc brakes. Garm the one you sell what size brake pads to they use?

For the front I have CarboTech 1521, a very nice upgrade street pad.

The rears come with their own pads, and I do stock replacements (rotors too should the need ever arise).

I was thinking of getting some project Mu brake pads. Is the rear disc brake kit a proprietery pad?

SS brake lines aren't going to do a think for your brakes "slipping" when it's wet. How 'bout a better description of your problem. Brakes "slipping" leaves much to the imagination. What exactly is happening when you're braking in the wet?

i highly doubt there's a problem with your brakes. sounds like operator error. the yaris has amazing brakes (not as good as the xa, but still goooood) so spending unneeded money is kinda pointless (sorry garm). the toyota pads are actually very good, and i'll be buying a set to replace my Project Mu pads... if the car doesn't sell first :)

Yeah, I was trying to get a little more info, but my guess was going to be that the TIRES are the problem (and braking beyond the limits of said tires on a wet road, which is easy to do), not the brakes.
