heavy braking

Under heavy brking at the end of the stop it sound like something hit smashing together like a control arm is pushing on somehing.

The suspension crossmember was replaced after hiting a pot hol.

Should I get this checked out?

if you are worried, just have it looked at. maybe something in the back or in a compartment made a noise, or just the noise of the brakes overheating was what you heard.

Ummmm, anytime you hear a sound "like something hit smashing together" and you don't know what it is, you need to get it checked out.

Loose articles in the trunk? Or maybe the spare mount needs to be tightened?

Never stuff around with brakes. Without them the only way you'll stop is.........

Take it to get checked.

I think the heavy breaking is pushing the shocks doe\wn onto the bumb stop. I didn't cut them because they were TRD.

I have the same noise in the front right, not so much a smash, lol, but a clunk, but it is only when I come to a stop, not rolling braking. and only from the right side.

Its the shocks bottoming out hitting the bump stop. TRD didn't say to cut the bump stop but I think 1" would work better. Or if they ever come out with stiffer springs for these cars that would be the answer.
