Used car ads crack me up, "Dolphin" colored Yaris - Toyota Yaris Forums

So I was looking thru autotrader today, and this new color "Dolphin Metallic" caught my eye. (It actually seems to be a pretty cool 2007 loaded hatch, I mean how many really came with 5 speed, factory alloys and ABS?) Seems better than some of the smaller dealer's disclaimers, like "some of our cars may have bloodstains on the seats so that we can bring you the lowest prices," which I have actually found on occasion.

Power seats? I didn't know that was an option. ABS is a rare one too.

Wow, side airbags on an '07? That was a REAL tough option to find back then. The only '08 I could find when I was shopping was and S sedan that was fully loaded at over $17k
The price IS good though.

I googled it: it appears to be am Audi color: dolpin gray metallic. Maybe they called it thaat because it sounds so eco...

That vehicle description format is often fraught with "human" error, so take it with a grain of salt.

Or the car was in an accident and they had it painted a non toyota color? When an odd non OEM color shows up that should raise some warning flags that its been painted or in an accident or both.

I've got side airbags on my 07, I never realized it was a rare option.

There's no such thing as power seats in a LB. Typical listing error.

It's clearly Meteorite Metallic, the most common LB color. The owner just chose to describe it as "dolphin". It's not a repaint.

I guess "dolphin" (gey) metalic sounds better than, say, "November dreary" (grey) metalic.

It was a great eight year run, but it was time to focus on other things. I'm still selling parts on eBay under micro*image seller ID and customers can still make requests for anything specific.
