I can't help but look at this and wonder if this is a foreshadowing of the next Yaris? It's about the same size, and comes from the same design house... |

Doesn't look like a future gen Yaris to me. Looks more like something from a different line.

Toyota has been promising a PHEV version of the Prius since 2007, and it was originally supposed to be here for the 2010 model year. Now they say 2012 but still won't commit to it. I'm much more interested in that, and/or a Toyota production EV, than any other hybrids they may produce before then.

eww.... similar size to a yaris i believe... but looks new... not a fan of the looks. Like the idea of a small hybrid tho. a yaris sized car with similar performance that could get an addition 5-10mpg would be cool. 45mpg instantly becomes 55mpg.

At first it seemed disproportionate and even ugly, but after checking the photos it's starting to grow on me. I especially like the extension in front of the rear wheels- aerodynamics in effect. Guess if it made into production, it would get scratched a lot but it's a nice touch. |

I like it's style!
But it'll need to be priced at 1/2 the price of a Prius to sell in the economy car market.
