Pioneer Avic-D3 VSS wire problem
So, I just installed an Avic-D3 on my girlfriends 09 Yaris-S, tapped the vss wire to the purple wire via instructions found here on yarisworld.... but, there is no signal coming through. Is it differenent on the 09? I would assume not, but I'm willing to try anything at this point.
Used this for reference: ![]() Any suggestions? |

I'm not sure myself, really... What I do know is that between 07 and 08 the tach wires changed color from green to orange, so it is possible the VSS as well. If you can't match the wire color, maybe try looking up the actual pin location, that should remain the same.

The easiest place to grab VSS is at the TPWS connector (behind the lower passenger glove box)
