best way to store an engine or transmission?
so i picked up an extra yaris transmission the other weekend. since it isnt IN a car right now, there isnt any fluid in the transmisison (as it would leak out the spot where the axles go in)
what is the best way to store the transmission? currently its just sitting in my unheated garage... for that matter, how would i store a used engine if i picked one up?

If you're my son, you spray a little oil on it, then drop it in a large, tough trash bag, tie a knot to keep the vapors in, and leave it in a corner. Seems to work, but it sounds a little rough.
