TP Sensor, or TP Switch?

Hi, I'm wondering if the tps on the yaris is a potentiometer type sensor or if its just a simple switch with "idle contact" and "wide open throttle" contact points.

I'm after a throttle position SWITCH for my old datsun and the yaris throttle opens the correct way.

It's a 2002 model with a 1.3l engine.
