Amazing Congo Trip in a Landcruiser
I just spent the last couple of days reading this trip report about a couple that made a cross county trip through the Congo in a Landcruiser:
Democratic Republic of Congo: Lubumbashi to Kinshasa It's definitely a must read and really shows you how well put together Toyota makes some of it's vehicles.

As a side note: As I've spent some time here in Afghanistan, I've noticed that the vast majority of cars that are being used around here (well, on base at least) are Toyotas. You've got HiAce vans, HiLux pickups, Prado SUVs, Coaster buses, Dyna flatbed and some things that I don't even know what they are...
I can attest to the fact that it looks like you can really beat on these vehicles and they can keep on running...
