USA: No more 3-door LB 'S' Model

I have been looking to get a 3 door 'S' but I couldn't find any anywhere. Last time I looked was 6 months ago and they were still pretty rare then. However, I did an online chat with a rep from Toyota.com and they told me that the 'S' model was no longer available. Has anyone had any luck finding these or are they all gone?

Toyota still makes them but it's probably less than 5% of the Yaris's that are shipped to the US.

Who needs the S model anyway? Cheaper to get a base model and with the money saved mod it the way YOU want to

BooHoo, I never saw one ever on LI anyways.....
Saw ONE sedan on a lot when I was shopping in April '08. It was like $17.8K!
Loaded with everything imaginable though.....
"Settled" for my '08 $14,160 Base hatch with my beloved Power pkg. and A/T!

If Toyota still makes them and they are availible in the US then you will have to order it just like I did for my 2008 ''S''. It took me 90 days for it to come in.
The day I picked it up at the dealer I had 6 people on the lot ask me if I would sell it to them because they had never seen one before and wanted it. So if you really want an ''S'' then be patient and go to your dealer, write them a check for $500.00 (which is FULLY refundable) and order it with whatever options you want. If you can get a 2010 ''S'' then you will have a rare Yaris. If your dealer says you can't order one (it took me a total of 5 dealers) then contact LONGO Toyota in El Monte CA. They are the largest Toyota dealer in California. Again, the first 4 dealers said Toyota won't let you order a car but Longo Toyota says if Toyota makes it and it availible in the modle you are interested in, then you can order it.
Best of luck and if you do choose to order one and it comes in, buy it and take some pics at the dealer and post them so we can see it.

I actually already "ordered" a Yaris months ago but I cancelled it after 4 months of waiting. Apparently it's not possible to order a car from Toyota, but you can get priority on a car when it comes into port. I wanted a Black S 2-door with Manual Transmission. Which, is technically possible, however, Toyota never actually made that car, it never came into port within 4 months. So, I got a different car.

It is great that the 2010s have the Tachometer integrated now. I'll just be picking up a base model now.
