Brand new here, 1st toyota, Yaris for gas $
So I picked up a 2010 absolutely red Yaris after searching high and low for one. It is automatic with the power package and convenience package. Great little car.
I also have a 583rwhp '04 Z06 that was destroying my wallet with fuel costs. $45 every four days! Fun, but costly. I had a 1993 honda civic hatch prior to the Yaris as winter/economical transportation. My commute for work is about 200+ miles a week so I needed something small, nice and reliable. I am at 308 miles total on the first full tank and it is JUST below half. :D This is easily on par with my civic which was also a 1.5 but had about 90+k miles. 12 gallon tank and the most I've gotten from that was 465 with a gallon remaining. Damn impressive for a 1993 car. I just got the car last Saturday and gave it its first wash tonight. It'll get the full menzerna/zaino clay bar, etc treatment as I am also a detailer. Lots of fine scratches in the finish...but those will come right out. Nice forum you guys and gals have here. I look forward to chatting/posting a bunch. Will post some pics soon. Have a few but they're in horrible low light. Jay |

Needs a nice deep cleanse on the paint. Some light scratches(wipe down, dealer wash installed) which can be buffed out to improve clarity. I love the car :) |

Congrats, I like the red look most.
Lurking here helped me decide to get one. Now I have joined the forum. My dealer tried to get a red 3 door for me in manual tranny - no luck. Said there were Earthquake issues and the delay could be 4-6 weeks... so now they have booked me into a 5 door model - ETA one or 2 weeks. Meanwhile the petrol (aka gas) has gone up some more this week. |
