parking brake sticking
I seem to be having a problem with my parking brake sticking. I have a 2007 yaris with a standard transmission. If I park for an extended period if time, about 3 and a half hours seems to do it, and I put the parking brake on when I go to try to release it, it doesn't want to release. The handle will go all the way down like it has release but you can tell by trying to drive that the brakes are dragging. You can also pull up on the handle and tell there is no resistance to it. If you just sit and wait for a couple minutes it was make a pop sound and then the brake is release. To me this says that there is something wrong with the cable. Like the spring is gummed up or something. I wouldn't think that it just needs adjusted. If anyone has any advice on this I would appreciate it. I think the spring just needs some lube put on it. If you think that will help what's the easiest way to get to that spring?
