Driving the 2013 Dodge Dart
![]() I got invited to the launch of the 2013 Dodge Dart (I'm actually still in Austin, TX as I type). Thought you might be interested in a few words about it. I will say this: It's the best compact Dodge has ever made. It's not without fault, but it's pretty darn good. http://www.subcompactculture.com/201...odge-dart.html

Sharp lookin' . Nothing like the '71 Dart with the slant 6 and automatic I drove about 30 years ago . That was a fun car to drive .

There are a number of models:
SE SXT Limited R/T The R/T will come with the 2.4 liter engine, which will be the most powerful. I don't think there's been an official announcement about and SRT4 version, but I believe it's likely to happen. Dart is a C-segment, so it's a "compact," though technically it's a midsize due to its interior volume (which is how the EPA actually sets its designators for cars. This is also why a 1990s Camaro was considered a subcompact and a Nissan Versa is considered a midsize).

That grill looks like it has the srt symbol
that does not look like a compact, looks like a slimmer charger. |

I thought it looks smaller in person. And that's just the Dodge logo with the two orange-slanted stripes.

This car has been buzzing for a while now at the dealership. I wish I had more info on it.

This is one of the few new cars that I've wanted to straight up buy the first time I saw it.

Looks like it might be about the same size at the Forte?

I'd say it's right around that size.

For those interested, there's lot's of pics and info here... http://yarisworld.com/forums/showthr...ight=2013+dart
Here's the dimensions of the Dart for those curious of size. Width: 72.0 in. Height: 57.7 in. Length: 183.9 in. Wheel base: 106.4 in. EPA interior volume: 97.2 cu.ft. The Corolla for comparison: Width: 69.4 in. Height: 57.7 in. Length: 180.0 in. Wheel base: 102.4 in. EPA interior volume: 104.4 cu.ft. So the Dart is a few inches bigger here and there over the Corolla, yet the Corolla is still bigger inside (in typical Toyota fashion )
