new serpentine belt
Two weeks ago I changed my belt in my 08 with a generic belt, squealled continously. After two weeks of putting up with it and keeping it tight enough, I broke down and bought a Toyota belt from the dealer for $50 bucks. I had it put in and guess what no squeals. I noted that the new belt is soft with soft cloth in the inside of the pulley instead of rubber. That is what keeps it quiet. Lesson learned. Buy toyota belts so they are quiet!!.
