If Toyota could make a Yaris with "Up to +5 MPG fuel savings! Up to +35 horsepower! and Up to +40 ft. lbs of torque!" don't you think they'd just sell it that way?
Guessing that magic eBay device is just two wires going into a fancy tic-tac box with a resistor in it!

from what I have read, those are usually a 5 cent resistor, and a dollar case. all they do is make the signal going to the computer a different voltage so that the computer compensates and usually dumps more fuel into the engine. so sure it may make a few hp or feel like it but in actuality it wont improve fuel millage or be worth the investment.
don't waste you money or time on them. If it isn't a piggy back system or a whole ECU rebuild/reprogram it isn't real.

They're crap. Also the Yaris has a learning ECU so even if it did anything, the Yaris ECU would compensate and put things back to normal. Complete and utter garbage.

If it sounds too good to be true......
In this case it's definitely a scam. There would be zero increase in performance as the car computer would adjust accordingly to get back to the air/fuel ratio it wants. |
