Non-lowering stiffer springs for Tokicos?

Hi,

I do want Tokicos but do not want my car lowered.

Are there any springs on the market that are STIFFER than OEM ones and do not lower the car? (I am ok to lower it up to 0.5-0.8 inch) I do not see anything thus might just need to reuse the original springs.

Any ideas?

Even the springs that mention ride like stock lower it an inch.

We actually had a member autocross the car with an aftermarket suspension and stock springs.New "milder" Setup

Tanabe NF210's lower 1" and are 5% stiffer.

Thanks.. I saw them at your site (thanks for nice compilation of springs).. just truying to figure out what 5% would mean in reality.. they might be noticable stiffer considering they are somewhat shorter .. or they are not noticably stiffer?

Or forget the tokicos n springs ... Get the coilover ... It's adjustable .

Tokico blue +spring will cost you around $600 , for $300 more you can get a decent brand of coilover

i second this micro image has the TEIN Coilovers for $900, currently something im saving up for myself

Thanks.. I was thinking about these teins - price wise they look very attractive. I also have had good experience with tein (control series = crazily stiff and crazily low) with my former JDM Integra TR in the past.

I kind of suspect these specific (street basis) teins are comparable or may be even softer than tokicos paired with proper springs. Entry level teins are often quite soft.

Anyone can shed light on this please?

Another consideration for myself is durability / longevity: you can easily buy any one of the four tokicos from e-bay in case something goes wrong (I may be overly pessimistic but things happen, I also do not plan to sell my mad egg in the foreseable future).

As I said before - teins looks attractive but I want to try tokicos first. I basically a car that feels more sporty than now (it is quite stable on the road already but does not feel fun enough).

For the difference in price I can also get some intake )) which, coupled with my soon to be delivered megan muffler may give me couple more HPs ))

Coilovers generally do not equate to stock like ride height or comfort. I have to believe that is the idea of the op.

I'm on tanabe coilover, ride a little more stiffer than stock, but not bumpy as stock struts with a lowering spring .

And it sets lower that stock for sure .... Never tried to make it the same as stock height , but I'm sure it'll be less stiffer than as is now .

Eibach prokits are great and lower 1" front and rear....barely anything....

This is kinda the same thing I'm looking for as my stock class auto-x set-up, but I will be trying stock springs first. It might be possible to get a stiffer spring rate from Suspension Spring Specialist in the same hieght and diameter as stock, would just have check!!

All good man , I had a stock strut with the tanabe df210 ... After the install, I thought it felt great until I changed it with the tanabe coilover .... Never thinking to go back .

For a little bit more toward the coilover, you pretty much saving it for the later upgrade and the labor toward it .... Just my.02 cents ...

The 5% compensates for the slightly shorter spring, giving a "stock" ride feel.

Similarly, the DF210 is 15% stiffer to accomplish the same thing with a stronger drop. I will say I felt the DF210 was stiffer than stock on my own car with TRD shocks and struts (before I discovered Tokicos!)

As noted, the Eibachs are a GREAT choice for a very mild drop but a mildly stiffer ride feel.

Starting to install my tokicos.. still have not found the strut tool for springs but installed the rear ones with stock springs

Liking it a lot so far - even with rear new shocks and rear TRD swaybar - feels like a totally different car. My best mod ever

Purchased from kurumamotoring at ebay - good vendor with low prices. (332 bucks with free US shipping / thirty something bucks shipping to Canada) (also earned smth like 7 ebay bucks - can later use to buy TRD sticker)

Did you mean the spring compressor when you referring to the struts tool ?

If so, you can find them at the local advance auto parts...the brand is arm pro if my memory serve me right :)
