shorter antenna

Hey I saw these on MicroImage listed for the Yaris and was wondering if anyone had any experience with them or the reception after changing?

I've got a shorter antenna from a Matrix (probably the same as yaris2010RS's from a Rav4), live out in the country away from most stations and the reception is about the same with the shorter antenna.

I use one of the OEM shorter rubber antennae as well and find that reception is very close to the original metal one.

Ironically, Crashy had her antenna base ground down when she rolled, slid, or whatever she did to crush her roof, and I actually find that her reception is about the same as non-Crashy with the short rubber one and Crashy2 with the OEM metal one.

awesome so It sounds like maybe the antennae isn't really needed then.
Any idea how long the OEM ones are?
