Lubricate Door Locks...but how?

I imagine that this is a simple question...anyway, Toyota's service schedule has them lubricating the door locks every service...but how do they do this?

Are they taking the door panels off to do it? Or do they simply spray some lube into the part where the door contacts the body? ...or the keyhole? I should mention that I have automatic (electric) locks in my car (and only have keyholes on the driver's door).

Also, would it be okay to use white lithium grease?

Thanks everyone!
