2006 Civic: 900,000+ miles! ( engine #2)
![]() Now that's a lot of freaking driving. Guy is a medical supply courier and does like 650 miles every day! Very similar to what triniper4mance did but even more extreme and for longer. It has all been documented since '08 in a huge thread on 8thcivic.com forum linked below. Credit where credit is due. Outside of Toyota, only Honda could pull this off and still be in good running shape. http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/mecha...ng-strong.html |

Hey, I'd rather do it in a comfortable, nice and easy driving car than a tractor trailer. Tons of guys do crazy miles in a tough to drive semi. |

My brother has a 1998 Honda civic sedan gli with 431 000 kms on the dail. It still runs and the
gearbox is much more solid than my Yaris. Maybe there's something wrong with my shift linkages? |

How much does a "courier" make anyway? If it pays more than I'm making right now then where do I sign up?

On another note, Mazilla, I'm curious at what ultimately went wrong with the first engine in your Yaris? I don't recall ever seeing a post on that. If you don't mind me asking. Quote:

The weather and the topography would matter to me. The YouTube guy from Iowa (Toyota of Des Moines purchase -- Corolla -- 500k miles in 3 years) would have humidity in the Summer (and ugh, Winter in Iowa and the other 3 states he drives in) plus pretty flat topography. Trini = better Winter weather, but SOME of those drivers in South Florida (the worst drivers in the U.S.), ugh. Some of the drivers in Southern California are crazy, but I'd rather deal with the topography and the weather that Mazilla and his employees experience than the other two.

I don't know what happened with that one, the same mechanic did that swap too and he couldn't recall what the problem was...I've always wondered.
