"Komfortblinker" (touch turn signal lever once, car blinks three times)
There's a bunch of aftermarket modules for sale on eBay Germany which just get wired into your regular blinker harness. Is this something somebody (cough, CTScott) can rig up and sell, or do I need to order it myself?
The way they work, you touch the turn signal lever once without having it ratchet into the permanent blinking position, just into the position where it would blink until you let go of it, except instead of stopping to blink, it blinks three times. Yes, it's for the lazy. But it also gives off three proper blinks and you don't forget to turn it off nor do you have to hold it in position. It's handy for lane changes. ![]() ![]() They were available as OEM accessory for the Daihatsu Charade that was the same car as the second gen Yaris, but I missed the boat on that. |
