tuning for turbo

hi everyone, i am new to this forum, but was directed here for additional help.

I have an 06 Scion Xb (same motor) and am working on throwing a turbo kit on it. its a greddy kit, with emanage blue PnP piggy back. ive heard the emanage is not the easiest software to use for tuning, but i am hoping it will get me by for now. Im running larger injectors, and will be monitoring the A/F wideband, but besides emanage, what do you all use to tune your vehicles?

is AEM fic a better solution for piggy back? this thing isnt going to be insane or anything, and ill only be running 5psi boost. i just want to make sure its not leaning out under boost. any recommendations would be useful.

also, i live just outside Chicago, so if anyone is from this area and knows how to use emanage, please feel free to contact me, as i may need some help soon.

I'm currently running the blitz supercharger at 6 PSI with the AEM FIC and 1zz injectors and it's been doing great for me.
I also used the boomslang harness for the FIC just for the sake of plug and play ease.

is it a must with the blitz S/C kit to have timing control or does the stock ecu do a good job if you have some sort of fuel control already?

I don't think so. The blitz was designed to be a plug and play bolt on kit from what I understand.
The blitz kit comes with it's own fuel controller that you wire into the ECU and has it's own maps. It's so that you can use the lo/med/hi/off feature of the blitz's clutch on the supercharger.

Mine however had a bad clutch, so I decided to have it welded so it's always on and ditched the blitz fuel unit and used the AEM FIC.

Not a lot of folks here that use the emanage. The rule of thumb is to use a piggyback that local shops will support if you are in a pinch or just down right want a professional to set up in general.
