Status Report 09 Yaris

This month my bought new in 09 Yaris is six years old and has ~40,000 miles on it. I traded in my 03 ECHO for it when they gave me $4000 FOR IT (PAID $5000) and also got 0% interest for five years. Unexpected.

So far the water pump had been replaced under warranty @ ~26k miles and also the oil pressure went (not under warranty) and leaked two quarts before the oil light came on. That was like $150 not under warranty but T gave me $100 for the labor back thru Customer Service. Its also been in THREE accidents and fixed professsionally each time. Not major accidents but not minor ones either. I put it iin Neutral at lights so it doesnt rattle.

In 2010 I drove the car 8000 miles around the Lower 48 and in 2011 drove it 10,400 miles to Alaska and back. Currently its driven ~4000 miles a year to work and back and shopping on weekends. I change the oil in October and April and the filter in October.

Hope its my last car! (Im 59 this year)

Was the rattling present before the accidents? I'm guessing no?

No. It doesn't rattle much. Just a little, something perhaps only the daily driver would notice. It doesn't affect the form fit or function of the car....
