front end

How about a recommendation for replacement struts/shocks for the 07 hatch.
Medium grade quality, not the best or worst.
Also does anyone know a good Yaris guy in Salt Lake area??? real competent..
Can I replace the struts without major dis assembly??

Rears are a piece of cake. Fronts require some general knowledge of what things are what, there are many diy videos online that will help you with that.

Get the cheap Monroe's from Rockauto.com or KYB if they are the same price iif you want oem type feel. I am using Monroe now and they are great for oem feel. I also had them on when ii was running th stock springs.

Make sure you get an alignment done when you're finished. Air tools make the job much easier but are definitely not required (although a breaker bar will help!)

If it's your first time, give yourself 6-7 slow careful hrs (breaks included). If you have a friend who's done the job before it'll help you a lot, or just have a few easy to understand videos at your disposal.

Overview:
Front- Remove end link bolt attached to strut
-remove 2 bolts from knuckle and support knuckle on short bucket or stool to keep weight off of it
-loosen top bolt holding strut to body of car and pull out strut.

Use spring compressor to install spring on new strut and make sure you regrease the strut bearings with new grease.

Opposite for instal

Rears- lower rear seats and remove panel behind which gives you access to top strut bolt
-Remove lower strut bolt from strut.
-remove upper strut bolt from inside car
-pull out old strut

Opposite for new strut

It's a great diy as it saves you a ton of cash, good luck!
