Windscreen washer

Good evening all,

My '14 Yaris Hybrid is spraying windscreenfluid all over the place, except on the windscreen. It's spraying too high, and too far away.

The nozzle is installed on the wiper blade arm and I've tried to adjust it with a needle. The nozzle isn't adjustable.


Any tips?

I have a 2014 Yaris as well. That BIG wiper was the first surprise, then I discovered that the squirter was located on the wiper!

So, I can't simply squirt the windscreen as I had with my 2007 Yaris. I've learned to squirt when the wiper is operating and in a vertical position; otherwise, the fluid completely misses the glass... and even squirts someone on the sidewalk as I drive by.

Exactly, that's the same problem I have.

Well, it looks like it is designed to squirt at cyclists and pedestrians. The only way is to hold it down until you wiper is in upright position in order to cover the entire windscreen.

Looks like its typically for MK3 after facelift. Friend of mine, who has '15 Yaris Hybrid have that problem. There is no issue with mine Mk3 '12 Yaris

Ford had this system in the 80s as I recall...

Then there was my 74 Bug with a one pint washer tank pressurized with a hose from the spare tire. You mmight get 30 short squirts before empty and refill was a chore.

"Hmmm the windshield needs cleaning....should I use the washer?....I havnt done it in a month....yes by gosh Im going to do it!....what the hell life is short....here she goes!....WOOO HOOOO!"
