Direct battery connection - how can it be done?
Hi Toyota Yaris forumers,
I have a possibly simple question that I hope one of you may know about ... As it is I would like to connect a cooling box directly to my Yaris Verso's battery (will make sure a low bat circuitry protects the battery), however, would appreciate an advice on how a cable can suitably be guided from the battery into the cabin in a simple and preferably non destructive way (i.e. very preferably no drilling). Might one of you have a suggestion for a simple and straightforward way of doing this? Thanks for any help ![]() Jesper |

Well, that's not what I need & I don't think it's necessary - the car appears to always start even when the battery is very low on energy (which would be the case if the battery is very cold) ...

Yes you are exactly right - and I would like to mount a cable directly on the battery and lead it into the cabin preferably without drilling any holes ... might you have any ideas? Cheers, Jesper |

Hmmm... guessing that the "ceiling - light" sockets somehow could be used as they are not switched on/off when the car otherwise is switched off ... But I don't know what the power rating of the wires going to these lights are ... Anyone knows?

Somewhere there has got to be a rubber grommet in your firewall through which wiring is already fed. Just matter of finding it and fishing your wiring through it.

@bronsin & WeeYari ... Thanks for your suggestions. I will look after the grommet and in general holes in the firewall. Mine is a 1999/2000 so it may not be identical to a 09 or 06 but will see what looks feasible.
Cheers, Jesper |
