I got my 2011 yaris automatic transmission sitting at 200k miles. So far so good. Wondering what the probability is that it goes another 200k with no issues. Maybe reaching half a million miles?
Idk how realistic that is. However I take good care of it with routine maintenance and am the only owner of it. I made my account here back in 2011 when I first got it. My username still reflects my emotion towards it. I'm debating whenever the engine blows on it as it probably happens with all cars if I should pay to fix it up like new even if it's not cost effective just for sentimental reasons. I've driven just about everywhere in it. I typically only drive behind trucks usually averaging 70mph or if I'm not behind a truck I'm using cruising max speed of 60mph so wondering how much slow driving might help increase the service life of the engine. I've been doing that since I first got it, rarely speeding. I heard long ago that the lower rpms will help increase the service life of the car. |
