Wow. That's a reliable part right there. :p

btw, I love that you have krazy glue out. Did you try to re-attach it? :p

Proof right there that this style is a purely cosmetic tow hook. Wonder how many people get these and actually attempt a tow with them.

Fuck that Something like that should not be able to be snapped with just human strength.

I agree that should have been stronger, however as far as I know, these are meant to be purely cosmetic.

NST sells one that won't break. Talk to Cali Yaris.

That's what happened with mine but that's because I forgot to spray some WD-40 prior to taking it off.

He bought this one from me. It's a COSMETIC product and not meant to tow the car or be wrestled with when installing it.

I've already sent a free replacement, something he didn't bother to mention.

I've installed this tow hook on at least half a dozen cars, never broken one, neither have the other twenty plus customers who bought it.

We also offer the functional NST tow hook -- and you can always use your OEM piece which comes free with the car.

Here is the product description published on our website. If it should be re-worded or made more clear in some way, please let me know!

Quote:
<b>NOTE: This is a COSMETIC product. Do not attempt to tow the vehicle with this tow hook. Install with a small amount of lubricant and do not muscle into the threaded hole - the aluminum shaft may snap if over-torqued.<b>

If the instructions stated that it could possibly snap if over-torqued and you sent him a replacement due to being over-torqued, then I must say Excellent Customer Service!
