My trip to Ford Motor Company

CAUTION: Domestic Vehicle Content

I was invited to the 2010 Ford Drive Event in Dearborn, MI (aka Ford) yesterday.

http://www.subcompactculture.com/200...ive-event.html

Some pretty cool stuff. Got to drive a Mustang GT on the high-speed test track. I must say, I'd rock the crap out of a 2010 Mustang GT. Plus, the 2010 Taurus SHO with the 3.5-liter, twin-turbo EcoBoost engine hauls ass.

Ford didn't say they'd like to have the obstacle detection mandatory, they said that at some point it might become mandatory on all vehicles.

I'd rock one if I had a business that necessitated it.

It's been for sale for years in Europe. A lot of companies make such a vehicle for the Euro market. Certainly not copying anyone from Japan here.

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust,
If it's a Ford, it will rust.

On a clear night you can hear a Ford rust...

Friends don't let friends drive drunk but real friends don't let their friends drive a Ford.

Sorry, I can't resist...

meh... when you go to a show for a specific product, that much propaganda is bound to color your opinions... when I worked at a Dodge engine plant (filling vending machines) the 24/7 "Chrysler TV" show they broadcasted in every break room had me wanting a dodge truck by the time I quit the job. I later realized that; when you are exposed to marketing, scientifically designed to alter your view for any length of time, it WILL alter your view, if you don't guard your thoughts...

I'm just having some fun. Fords are not much better or worse than their competition. Excepting Toyota, which had made polishing their wares a company obsession.

I wouldn't buy a Ford Focus on a bet. They're hanger queens.
