Anyone know about teeth???

Having this problem.

Since a kid i was cursed with bad teeth from my moms family, they all have dentures and crap so i am trying to avoid that by regularly going to the dentist and i try to take good care of my teeth yet i still get cavities.

Fast Forward

Last month i went to the dentist to have a tooth removed because i felt a hole i never noticed, they said it was a wisdom and just yanked it(I'll add a pic for your enjoyment)

Current day problem

on the front part of my gums, not where the teeth grow in from but the top part near where the wisdom tooth was i can feel something in there kind of bumped up and poking through the skin, i think its either a fragement he missed, or another tooth growing in... wtf could it be and how can i handle this...

wisdom teeth are hard to maintain. If you have them growing, you should get special tooth brush, small enough to reach in there.

I've had my wisdom teeth removed, when i feel that part of the skin, it does feel there's something under there. Nothing sharp, just feels like bone in there. so it is probably normal.

If, you are still having cavities even if you really take care of it.... i mean, what is it to really take care of your teeth? Do you brush after each meal? Do you use listerine to rinse your mouth often?

Here's the other side: I grew up the same way, bad teeth until I was 25, so I had the lot pulled and the ol' China Clippers installed. Once all the poisons drained away, I gained a better attitude, better health, better breath, and better digestion. That was 45 years ago, and I haven't ever regretted that decision. The dentist will jump up and down ("You are my next boat!!!") and tell you your teeth are salvageable... for a price... and it is worth it, but that is not always the case. Since I got my falsies, I can beat most people through a cob of corn or a crisp apple, and LOVE to crunch up ice cubes at a party...

Like, new teeth transplanted? How much does that cost and how much pain were you in holy hell... But yeah I can see what you mean, no rotting no nothing.

But i do take decent care of my teeth. Brush in the morning, mouthwash during the day when i need it and brush at night and the wisdom tooth on the other side has the same problem as well, i can feel it.

Ya... both mine and my brother's wisdom teeth were retarded too. I have 0 cavities, but my wisdom teeth literally just fell apart. I think this is why they just pull them in most people.

When I had my wisdom teeth removed(couple years ago) I had a few bone fragments left behind (but my dentist warned me ahead of time). They will work their way out in a few days/week. Just make sure to follow your after-care direction (rinsing your mouth out) to avoid getting an infection.

A couple of months ago I had my rearmost bottom molar pulled. A few weeks later when I was at the dentist I told her that I thought she had missed a fragment. She checked me out and said that it was normal bone that I was feeling.

I'd never noticed that before (but in hindsight it makes perfect sense) that the area behind the last molar is elevated compared to what you'd have if the molar wasn't there. There is a small part of that elevated flat spot that isn't quite flat (at least in my mouth). It feels like a fragment (or a tooth that's trying to grow in.

My wisdom teeth came out easily at least 20 years ago and I've never missed them. They just crud your mouth up and contribute nothing.

LOL yeah its pretty bad, think it was already like that when it came out of the gum or something because i always felt an indentation when i put a pic back there.

but my other side on top is the same, and the two bottom ones are growing in sideways, like wtf hahah I just hope they dont have to break my jaw to get them out.

But yeah this does feel like something is poking through, it feels like a triangle with a sharp point, but i mean its a month or maybe more after it was pulled and im just feeling it now, which kind of weirds me out. But i just want to be sure of what it is you know...but what everyone says make sense

i had all four removed at the same time before they came in because dentist noticed on my xrays that they were growing in sideways. then they stitched me up and after the holes healed I felt like lil bumps where the four teeth were. When i went back to the dentist for cleaning i asked her about it and if it were possible they missed anything. they did another x ray and said that it was just fine and was normal for it to feel that way for a while. its been like 4yrs since they were removed and those bumps have been long gone for a while now.

I think everyone had some misconceptions about where the fragment might be coming from so i edited a picture, this might make it alot easier.

yeah thats no where near where i felt a bump. i would ask your dentist then.

As others have stated just call your dentist and ask them about it. I've had the same thing from teeth being pulled and it's nothing to worry about. In one case it was actually a small fragment of bone that eventually got pushed out. I'm sure you'll be fine but call your dentist just to ease your mind.
