End of Indicator Stalk has come out and the lights won't turn off!!
G'day guys,
The end of the indicator stalk that you twist to turn the lights on and off has popped out. It doesn't appear broken but it won't go back in properly. My park lights are on and as I can't get it back in properly I can't turn them off and the high pitch noise that says the lights are on is letting me know about it. It's a 2006 Yaris. Any ideas at all? I've currently disconnected the battery. Cheers guys, Marty. |

Sounds like you will need to replace the stalk. In the meantime you may want to just remove the lower steering column cover and disconnect the headlight switch connector, so you can drive it without killing the battery when you park.

Take the fuse out and reconnect the battery.
When you want to drive pop the fuse back in. I wish I could tell you how to fix the switch but its never happened to me.
