Door lock?
I have an aftermarket door lock/unlock (part of a remote starter get-up).
When I hit the lock button on the remote FOB, headlights flash once signaling a lock. But the doors stay unlocked. I can lock all the doors by inserting the key in the door and turning it counter-clockwise. I can also unlock the doors with the unlock button on the FOB. Any ideas what might be the issue? |

Try locking them from the lever on the inside of the door and then unlocking and locking them with the fob. If they then start working, then the remote starter installer connected the lock output to the wrong wire. There is a wire that works for locking, but if you use the manual lever on the door, then the ability to lock is gone until you use the manual lever again.

Hey scott, thanks for the heads up.
I am 99% certain it is the lock button (am I correct these things are cold-soldered?) Neither the lock button from the inside or the FOB will lock the doors, and if I insert the key into the driver's lock, I don't get locking action anymore either. Hoh well, traded that POS in for an F-150.
