All LED Interior

Just changed out the cargo, map, and license plate lights in my Yari to cool white LED. I had already changed out the dome a month or so ago.

Super easy switchout, with super easy removal of the cargo and map light covers. I had them all changed out in 5 minutes.

Got my replacement lights from www.superbrightleds.com. I checked the cross-reference and ordered those for about $24 shipped. Got to me in 4 days.

Will post pics when it gets dark. Also got my fogs installed, which I will also post pics of later.

Just a few more things to do to mine and then I am done for awhile!

awesome, I have all green interior lighting however I did leave the map lights as the standard white...those are used for me all of the time and the green hue just didn't work. I am curious to see really what the difference is between the standard bulbs and the white LED.

HUGE difference between the standard bulbs and the LEDs. I put a 16 LED panel in for my dome light yesterday and when my door opens it actually lights the whole interior so you can see. lol

Yeah, my dome light is a cluster of 24 I think that I got off ebay. It is super bright, but I still think I may want to install footwell lights either under the dash or under the front seats. I want a lot of light when the door is open.

Depending on what you want to do with the under dash and under seat lighting you could go the route that I did which is go thru formula-j87 on ebay. Their LED lighting strips are coated for both interior and exterior lighting and to me they are really competitively priced. I know that some people like to have a single LED that can easily be concealed however I prefer the strips and they can be easily hidden.

i've replaced almost every light in the car other than the headlights with LED :) and added some other cool things like LED strips (paid 1.10 each shipped on ebay) for under the foot wells and seats. and i put the same strips on the bottom of the headlights to give it that audi sort of look :)

Here are a few pics. They suck a bit because of my camera and darkness. The 24-grid LED set in the dome are way brighter than the map lights, obviously. The map lights light the front seat area about as good as the stock ones did. The cargo area is a festoon bulb set of 6 LEDs, so it's pretty bright. I like the look, but the cool white might take some getting used to for some. My dome was already this color because I did it earlier. License plate light looks good...modern!

I also need to do something, especially in the cargo area. I'm thinking of maybe putting in a second one on the right side and have the ability to turn them off if the hatch is
open for long periods of time.

I agree that a second light on the right side would be great. Wonder if the LEDs draw less power so as not to drain the battery as much as the normal lights do? That festoon bulb in the cargo area has a cluster of 6 LEDs on it. I suppose you could go with more. The dome has 24 in it. Really bright.

There were a few people who have done it. I did a search for LED to get the posts. I was interested in using them under the seats possibly in order to maybe work for both the front and rear seats at the same time?
