random cel flashing

I should begin with the first incident...

a few months ago I was in the mountains for my honeymoon while acellerating full throttle up a steep on ramp I had to drop in power followed immediately by flashing check engine light. then I had a steady light on which turned out to be a misfire code so I replaced the plugs with fresh NGK iridiums later that week the car had a little under 60,000 miles. All has been well.

today i was in heavy excess of traffic and just when I thought I should probably still turbo this car traffic suddenly cleared and I did a third gear pull. As I approached redline...the car studdered lightly and then started flashing the CEL at me so I'll let off and coasted for a moment...then i went full throttle again and then it did it again and I did it two more times what's the same results.

I tried again a few more times later down the road but I was only in 5th gear and all was well mind you the car has about 63,000 miles is this a coil pack issue?? I have no constant CEL so have nothing to scan.
