I Bought That 2014 Magnetic Gray Yaris L !!

... and it was a real relief to find out that green coolant light is normal when starting the car. Man that was bugging me out for a bit there, lol. Thought I might have driven it too hard coming home!

What a day! I didn't sleep but maybe two hours last night and was up all day riding the Amtrak to Chicago, then the Metra to Libertyville. Doing the paperwork and dodging the extra add ons was pretty nerve wracking, especially with having little sleep.

Once everything was finalized and the car was detailed and gassed up, I took some backroads out, around, and down to I-55 to avoid crazy rush hour traffic, Chicago drivers, and toll roads. Pretty good choice I think as a lot of it was stop and go with a lot of varied RPM's getting worked. I didn't baby her, but I didn't beat up on her either!

Congratulations. Too bad you had to go so far north on the northside. At least you didn't have to drive on the Dan Ryan ....not too many outright insane drivers (as on some roads in South Florida), but the highest percentage of moderately crazy drivers of any highway I can think of in the U.S......and the latest incarnation isn't much of an improvement on the old, IMO.

I have relatives in the Chicagoland area. Yeah, it can be an experience at times.
I also have a friend that is an assistant conductor on the Metra. He drives a Yaris,
and has over 220,000 miles on his 2007. He used to commute up to Milwaukee five
days a week, until he changed careers and got with trains...which he loves.

Welcome to YarisWorld, and glad you made it back safe!
