2010 Yaris HB Exhaust

I'm trying to make a decision on which exhaust I should buy. Or if I should go with an axle back. I have my eye on this but I don't know what the downside of this would be. I've also heard running a straight pipe would be more cost efficient. I have no idea what the disadvantages would be. Any help would be appreciated.

I went with an axle back, easy to install myself. Sorry cant remember the name... Stainless cost about 240 dollars. Took me about an hour to do it. Will add cabin noise though. Also, for best results install a new intake as well to help your engine get more air.

Mine is a Tanabe Medalian, cost abiut 300 dollars now. I am very happy with mine but I do have a KN cone air intake kit as well. Hope this helps.

I can give you a bit of info about the muffler delete, probably around $50 or so at a local muffler shop. Fairly loud especially coming from a stock axle back but oh it sounds darn good at wide open.
The stock axle back after about 80 mph the car falls on its face, with the muffler delete the Yaris pulls well past 80 and falls flat at about 105 or so. There is a torque loss down low between 2-2800rpm's and a resonance at 1800-2000 and 2700-2900.
For the $50 price, its definitely a good bang for the buck, better then my gutted air box and shift knob and weight reduction.

I researched like crazy the last couple days. I ended up picking up the Tanabe Medalian like yours for about $300CAD shipping included (from Quebec). It was used for about 5000k but since Quebec has strict laws the guy kept on getting tickets for non stock exhaust. His loss is my gain lol. I have an aFe air intake installed already. Now its time to look up some headers!

I ended up swaying away from this. Price is unmatchable, but it will probably cost me in the long run with more gas consumption.
