2007 Yaris Maintenance Question
Hey, I have a 2007 Yaris I bought new . All I have ever done is oil changes, new tires and new batteries a few times. Still has original everything including brakes. Best bargain I’ve ever had in a car.
I’m up to 130,000 miles and car still runs perfect. My question is should I bother changing any of the other fluids ?( Transmission, brake, differential , etc. ) or just leave well enough alone? |

You should definitely look to replace the brake fluid. Unfortunately if you leave it too long it can rust the bore of the master cylinder causing leaks.
The coolant is probably also due and it wouldn't hurt to change the transmission fluid. What about spark plugs, engine air filter and cabin air filter? |

I would change all of them. Personally I have had good success with Valvoline Zerex Pink Asian coolant, Valvoline brake fluid DOT 3/4 and Valvoline Maxlife ATF. Our Yaris has lived a long life on these fluids.
On a side note....I use Valvoline Maxlife synthetic 5w30 oil as well.

DO NOT change the trans fluid unless it smells burnt or is dark....

Changing the ATF will hurt nothing. 2 or 3 simple drain and fills can benefit the transmission. What's generally not the best idea is to flush a transmission with higher mileage.

Yeah, by then it's too late.

With a flush you risk dislodging debris that could clog up the valve body. That's why drain and fills are the way to go on an older high mileage transmission
