cruise control 2014
After much reading here I have ordered the stalk and cover to convert to having CC. I will update on how it turns out.i expect it to be plug and play for my 2014 with the automatic. Just under twenty bucks, I do have to wait for the slow boat from China. (sigh)

Yes, once you work out how to get the horn pad / air bag assembly off, it's a very easy and quick installation.
Disconnect the battery before you start. ( alternately, at least remove the horn fuse). Remove the blank cover for the cruise switch, and you willl see a side view of one of the three spring clips holding the horn pad. Push it with a screwdriver and it will spring up. The other two are accesses through small holes in the wheel. The horn pad is still attached to the air bag wiring. Install the criuse switch, plug it in and push the horn pad back into position. Reconnect the battery and enjoy your cruise control. If the police are anything like here in Australia, you can't afford to drive on highways without cruise control, or constantly watching your speed....

The stalk and cover finally arrived. After turning the steering wheel almost upside down I disconnected the battery. Popped the small cover off for the stalk. after a bit of searching, I found the clip ends just behind the cover for getting the airbag cover off. The airbag cover came off easily and I was able to lay it on the side of the steering wheel. The slightly confusing part was figuring out how to get the horn wire out of its connector. I used wire snips and got it out and put it in the new connector. the new stalk came with screws and it went on easy.
The cover I bought with the stalk? it was the wrong one of course. So I guesstimated a hole and used a small hole saw on the original. I hooked up the battery and got the lights on the dash and the horn worked. a road test later showed it all works great! Less than twenty bucks! On eBay.I just looked up cruise control stalk. Easy. I haven't managed to find the right cover on eBay either. Also ended up making a hole in the original cover.
You might consider carefully removing the rubber seal from the incorrect cover and gliung in to the original you made a hole in. This will make it look a bit neater, and help keep dust out.

Cruise control
I have been looking everywhere to find out how to install cc in a 2014 yaris manual transmission everywhere. I recently installed the stalk switch and once engaged light does come on the dashboard. Does this mean it's pre-wired to this point? After watching a 16 min video it appears that wires under steering wheel are all ready installed according to placement of new wires. My problem I think my real issue is the wiring up of the clutch switch and once wired up according to the 16 min video I lost my air conditioning and that's obviously the wrong wires used. Video I watched was from a 2012 yaris thinking it would be similar. Any help to get cruise control going in this hot rod would be greatly appreciated 🙏
