What the heck is all over the side of the car?! You drive through a coal mine?

I noticed that the oil based products do not play well with the rubber tape/seal that holds the side skirts on. It tends to make them expand and wrinkle. I try to wipe it off there asap.

The Echo hatch was available in South America and Canada. The rest of the world pretty much also had it, but not the States. I don't think the sedan sales were great in the US to even think about a HB version, while sales were going very well in Canada.

Sales in Canada were good considering we only had it for 2004 and 2005 model years....we got the yaris in 2006 (a year before the U.S.).
Nowadays my echo hatch is dimensionally smaller than the new mitsubishi mirage...

I had a 2004 RS hatch. Fun car and cute with it. Ran flawlessly until it got totaled a couple of years ago. 😥
