2007 rotting at rear a-arm mounts
While getting our 2007's exhaust looked at a few weeks ago they found the unibody was rusting through where the rear axle "arms" attach (inside mounts, both sides, were the worst). Quite serious (we got a second option to confirm).
Noteworthy is that the car had absolutely NO rust anywhere else so this really came as a shock. Even more interesting is that the garage had seen another 07 that same week with the exact same issue. I'm thinking design defect, ineffective dip, or bad welding in that one spot that year. Particularly if you are in the rust belt, but even if you are not, this should be something to keep your eye on. |

Yeah, someone had that problem a year or two ago on here. I started using Fluid Film to stop rust.
